IVE GOT TWO QUESTIONS AND WILL POST BOTH HERE. I AM CURRENTLY FINISHING A 72'455 w/ A HOLLEY STREET AVENGER IN A 81 REGAL AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF THERE ARE ANY SITES SHOWING VACUUM DIAGRAMS FOR THIS MOTOR/CARB COMBO. ALSO WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF ANYONE HAS DONE THIS SWAP OUT THERE AND CAN TELL ME WHICH LOWER RADIATOR HOSE APPLICATION I SHOULD USE? THE FOLKS AT THE LOCAL AUTO PARTS ARE NOT VERY USEFUL.
I am not a fan of "flexible" hoses. I feel the stress the rad mounts too much.
These do look like an interesting product that probably don't stress your rad mounts, but are flexible.

Any comments?

Have you tried just going to the local auto parts store and asking for a hose for a '72 455? I went in and asked for my '67 430 and to my surprise, they had a bunch in stock, given its the same hose for all 430's and most 455's.
If they have one, you can visually check it see if it will work with the radiator you have in your Regal. It's worth a shot and the worst thing you'd have to do is just return it if it doesn't work.
As far as the vacuum diagrams, you'd have to find someone with an '81 shop manual that can photocopy a page or two for you, if there's no one on the board that can help you, you might try your local Buick dealership and they may have the old manuals hanging around. You'd be surprised the kind of things that you can find if you ask the right people! Good luck.

I APPRECIATE YOUR INFO AND YES IVE FOUND A LOWER HOSE FROM A 72 455 WORKS JUST FINE. MOST OF THE PARTS STORES HERE A CRAP THOUGH AND JUST DONT HAVE ANY CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYMORE. APPRECIATE THE INFO THOUGH AND EVERYTHING IS GOOD.
THANKS BOARD!!
The upper hose on my '67 GS400 was no longer available, so I used the one for the wildcat. It was about two inches too wide, so I chopped it and put in a piece of exhaust tube to shorten it.
