Have a 1971 Skylark, a 455 was installed but unfortunately has gone to the big block graveyard in the sky. Have acess to a 1969 400 motor and was wondering what would be involved in swapping this motor in the car (frame perches, etc.) Any info. suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

Should be a straight bolt-in, with little if any work

Externally identical (exhaust manifolds, motor mounts, etc.).

Very easy swap.

Maybe a fuel line change for the carb, but that's probably the most challenging thing you'll run in to.
