went down to gardner Ma an picked up a good used TH 400 automatic for my project , am also thinking of rebuilding a pair of 94 holleys i have an putting them on the two carb factory intake , graemlins/smash.gif

If you are opting for an automatic, why not go with a 200-4R or a 700R4 overdrive? They will allow a much better gear for acceleration and still not wind the engine to death on the road.

the 700r4 is available with a BOP bell-housing?

picked up a th400 cheep an i figure it wont work the engine any harder than a big 6 would work ,an if it does just change the ring an pinion gear in the 9" ford rear will wait an see ,

they did make some 700-R4s with a dual pattern ,but I suggested it because he will need an adapter no matter which tranny he chooses.

ah not a problem i already have an adapter from bendtsens ,it looks to be a nice piece but costly ouch,
