Tom Gallagher 05-02-2005, 09:55 AM Baldwin makes a Great Filter! Personally, I would stay from Fram. I have heard a lot of Failures from owners who have used Fram! Check-Out: http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html Regards, Tom Gallagher Bernard 05-02-2005, 11:20 PM Thanx for the warning, Tom ! Tom Gallagher 05-02-2005, 11:40 PM No Problem. I don't want to see "Harley" get choked from the inside-out. I thought that the oil filter breakdown was pretty informative. Funny how they all look the same on the outside. Once they got into it, it easy to see whats good and what to stay away from. They sure didn't think too much of Fram and it was interesting to see what manufacturers produced filters under other nameplates. Years ago I had used a Fram on my 87 Blazer (My Winter Beater) I bought new and have something like 327 grand on it. About 12 years ago Anyway all the Lights and gages flashed etc. No Power. I thought I fried the motor. Oil was o.k. No leaks but it rapped pretty bad. Turned out that the new fram filter I had just put on the inside cardboard guts collapsed and was breaking up and clogging the oil flow. Since then only Baldwin or AC. Tom Gallagher Bernard 05-13-2005, 05:34 PM Again, thanx for the warning!!! (And I thought Fram was a good brand . . . sure is widely distributed . . .
