Anyone knowing if it will fit my car? Hope for help..... Jonas Eric-Norcal 11-11-2004, 08:45 PM I would assume it would fit.. even if one was from a 263 and the other was from a 320, i don't see why they would make something as trivial as a breather cap different for each engine.. but im not totally sure pepsi 11-12-2004, 06:47 PM I don't remember any differences. Bob 11-13-2004, 09:14 AM I just had a look on ebay. There is an air cleaner assembly listed as an air breather. Is this the item you are looking at? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=7934496317&category=6783&sspagename=WDVW 49special 11-20-2004, 05:33 PM Yes it was. I have been looking at pictures of different model of cars and it seem to be two sorts of airbreathers. One the goes forword towords the radiator, and one that "crosses the valvecover. Anyone knowing more? Jonas Bob 11-21-2004, 09:32 PM Here's some good info for you... Your part number is 1544232-1 1949 series 40-50 DF up to frame number 15244363 fl 25205576 sg 35211509 lin 45254014 kc 55258437 wil 65261075 atla 75229689 fra It appears to me that the early '49s before this frame number used one "air silencer" and the '49 after this frame number used another. The later ones are the same as the 1950-51 models 40-50 Great Balls of Fire 11-27-2004, 09:17 PM Late '49 and later air cleaners cross the valve cover. |
