Can anyone help me identify what motors and years this timing chain cover fits? The part number is 1385199 Buick.

Bernie, I tried Buick parts lists starting from 1981 back to 1928 without success. There is some possibility it was a good part number at one time. Then if the part was upgraded, it takes on a new part number, and the old number disappears from any later lists.

Can you advise if this number is cast into the part itself, or is it found on the box or in other paperwork? Usually the number found on such a part is for the raw, unmachined casting only. As Buick machined the part or added other hardware, the piece takes on a part number altogether different from the casting number.

That is the part number on the timing chain cover on my 68 LeSabre with a 350. Is it for sale?

682door...I wouldn't expect a response. That post is from September 2004 and I don't think that person has been around since then.

hey i have a whole motor outta my 68 lesabre... 350.... good parts on it, but might not run. timing cover looks good, but i havn't pulled it off... whole motor is for sale, maybe parts off of it, but it'd be nice to get rid of the whole thing. Lemme know if u are interested in it.
