Hello - I'm picking parts from a 1954 264cid and a mount on to a 1956 322cid, I heard roumors that the lifters do not interchange. Is there someone who knows something about this ?

Is there someone who knows something about this ? Thanks theoldguy 03-10-2003, 12:12 PM In 1956 they changed to a cast camshaft ,and the lifters for the 54 engine were for a forged cam. They will not interchange as they had different characteristics. The two metals are not compatible. |
