I have a 94 LeSabre, one of my problems that I am having is the engine light stays on. I have tried to read it on the computer but it wont link up to it. I have tried to reset it by disconnecting the battery cable for an hour. Same thing just came back on. Do I need to replace the computer? Next on the list. The car will just up and die if you are off the gas for a few minutes every blue moon. Mostly when you are coasting to a stop or to turn. But it does not happen all the time. Why does my temperature light blink? The one that says what youre outside temp and inside the car temp. Any help would be useful.

In my opinion, i don't think the computer is fried. Since you can't pull codes from it, probably the connection to the computer has corroded or is otherwise disconnected. This isn't a very uncommon problem. As for the stalling, there's not much that can be done if you can't pull codes from the computer at all. Even a shop wouldn't be able to touch it until the connection was fixed.
As for this temperature light, which one are you referring to? Is this on the climate control panel?

Yes the climate control panel. It will blink for a few minutes then stop. I tried looking in the manual(s). For anything that says what the problem is. No luck so far

A blinking light on the temp control (for 2 minutes) indicates the climate control system has stored a fault code. The codes are in the shop manual, but it takes a Tech I scan tool to read them.

I realize this is not much help since you haven't been able to pull out the service engine light codes either.

Noticed any unusual behavior from the heater, blower or A/C since the light began to blink?

Have you ever been able to read trouble codes on this car with your scanner? The question being is the scanner compatible with the computer in this 94 model?

Since I have owned the car for about 9 months now. Was parents car. I have had 2 different shops try to read the codes and no one can read it.
The heater and the A/C both act wierd at first then after it quits flashing it starts to work right.
Is the tech one scan tool the same one used to read the service engine light?
