I took the Rivi out for a more serious ride today, pushing the engine, steep grade hills, etc. and on a deserted road I was testing the cruise control (that actually works) I thought I should see the power potential of the engine, so I coasted to about 20 mph and then floored it. The first time was amazing didn't even hesitate. But the 2nd time scared the crap out of me when it got up to 50ish there was a loud thud and I instantly let off the gas. The car seemed to drive just fine though, so I don't think I threw a rod or anything bad. So I was thinking could that be the traction bars setting in?

Also does anyone know how to fix a door lock? My passenger door stays permantly locked when you lock it (the pull knob on the top of the door will pull up like it unlocked but didn't). Is there something I can do?

for your door lock, take the door skin off the door frame and take a look at all the linkages, it should be fairly obvious which part isn't working the way it should be.
