FOR GRINS, has anyone any thoughts on swapping a 200r4 for a TH350 in a B-body, or might that be too much tonnage for the tranny to push around??
Just a thought graemlins/shield.gif

I am going to do the same swap in my 1976 Skyhawk.
The rear mount is 6" back from the 350 rear mount
but the tranny lenghth and the spline count is identical. You will have to adress the engagement of the convertor's locking mechanism, plus the kickdown cable. B&M sells all the appertinant stuff.
You also need to do some research on the best used 200 to look for. Best are from the turbo Buicks and the V8 Montes, et al.
Putting the "good" 200r4's behid any motor w/ more than 200-250HP will require mods. These parts will run from $500 up. Then, be prepared to
spend $250 or more for a higher stall convertor.
Don't forget the cost to have this stuff installed. I have heard of folks who just installed the 200R4 , w/ no mods, and were in hog heaven. Me....I'd probably blow parts all over the street.
How fa$t do you want to go?
