I'm stumped. This car has only been able to make it about 30 miles before it overheats since the day I bought it. I have (in this order) replaced the thermostat, re-cored the radiator, replaced radiator cap, replaced water pump, replaced fan clutch, and rebuilt the carb. I say again, I AM STUMPED!

Have you had the block flushed?? This is sometimes the culprit. Is the timing set properly? Retarded timing will make a Buick run hot.

I have used a bottle of Zerex engine flush and I spoke with someone at a radiator shop who told me that with what I have done, he is 99% sure that the water jackets are not the problem.

This is a real shot in the dark, but do you have A/C? If so you might check the condensor in front of the rad for blockage from old dead insects. graemlins/angry.gif Over many years, they can build up quite thick in between cooling fins, and who looks in there for problems. Good luck
