hi, i have just purchased a 53 special and as i am unfamiliar with these engines , was wondering if the 6 volt system can be changed to 12 volts,thanx

yes you can, or you can be like me and keep it at 6v. Allstate battery has the correct size battery.and it wan't very expensive either. I think it looks cooler to see the long battery sitting in that tray.
