Hey all,

I am a 24 year old kustom from New Jersey who daily drives a chopped Merc with a flatty, so I am into nostalgia...but recently aquired a 57 Buick hardtop for the right price and am now building the car for a fellow club member. Before I start cutting into it to smooth it out, lower it and put in some Lincoln buttons (Im leaving the portholes...fear not) I wanted to see if you all could help.

The 57 has a one piece back window, which is probably the only 57 I have seen like that. Is this a rare model? I have seen a bunch that have the 3 piece (which I happen to like more) but would like to know if this is something that I should not cut into.

Any help would be very appreciated. The car still has a 364 and Dynaflow so its not too late to turn back to original if it is worth it, otherwise its time to make a kustom out of it.

Thanx

Chris

There is no such thing a car too 'rare' to cut up! Get out the sawzall and get to hacking!!
The Lincoln push-buttons will look sweet, I think I remember seeing a '55 Buick in R&C with them.

Thanx for the info! I just saw an auction on ebay with a 57 without the rear window being 3 pieces. It was a Buick Super which I believe mine is as well. For now we will go with the kustomizing full steam! I think the car will make a great new addition to our club!
