Is the secret to removing the camshaft that little square fitting that sits behind it? I need help.The gear has been removed.I am thanking you in advance for your help.

On my 322's 55 and 56 there is a plate behind cam gear that unbolts and cam comes out the front. Remove the lifters first. It takes some force at first you might remove the plate and reinstall cam gear to give you some thing to grab and pull on.
