Does anyone know of who the best in the biz would be to get a new or redone convertible top to restore in a 68 buick wildcat convertible, my top has a few scratches and piece of stripping above back glass is coming off, just curious, any help would be appreciated

Try hydro-electric 800-343-4261. The have a great deal of convertible top parts to choose.

Hydro-Electric is a great place to get the hydraulics, such as the top cylinders and the pump/motor assembly, but they do not make their own convertible tops. They sell another manufacturer's product. I have been installing convertible tops for over 35 years, and I have found the there are just a couple of top manufacturers that consistantly make excellent fitting tops. I recommend Electron tops or Kee Tops. I handle the latter and have the best prices for these high quality tops. Feel free to contact me if you want free installation instructions.
