Im trying to take the dashboard and everything related to it out of my 71 skylark and im running into some serious problems.
Firstly, the kick panels under the dash, after removing every screw in sight, they still won't budge. My only thought is that there is something to do with the vent control knobs that is holding them on.
The 2nd question I have is the metal frame/brace that supports the dash board, you know, the steel with the VIN plate on it. Mine is rusting worse than any other part of the car, so much in fact that the part where the windsheild sits on no longer exists. Is it replaceable without getting the cutting torch out? Or is a part of the firewall/floor? I don't want to have to put sheet metal over it and bondo... that is pure evil!
Thanks in advance!
Ben
