Is there any way that I would know what color carpeting my 57 Super had in 57?

The best way to tell the color is to find your trim code and then look in a dealer album for the color. A lot of the dealer albums had actual samples of the upholstery and carpet in them so you can see exactly what your car came with. My recollection is that the '57 Super came with an 80/20 blend loop carpet; that is 80% rayon and 20% nylon. There was also a Daytona weave that GM used in that year, but I don't think that the Super had that available. When you find out what color you had, let me know and I will be happy to send you a sample of that carpet so you can see what it looks like in your car. I have the part numbers for 58 models, but my book doesn't go back to the 57s. The side window glasses were the same in 57 and 58, so the parts may be the same. Caution is warranted because the back windows on these years were diffrent. Right front #4702148--Left front #4702149 Right rear #4702150--Left rear #4702151. |
