Hey Buick experts, I have recently come across a Buick Invicta 4 door post. I am not sure what year it is, what identifying marks should I look for that will confirm my beliefs that its a 59? The car is VERY solid, has a running motor, whatever it may be, 401? all the glass is good except the right rear door glass. The price was right, I think. Free. Any help will be much appreciated.

The new guy....
The Invicta was made from 59-63, but the only 4 door sedans were built in 59 and 60. Both came with 401-4bbl engines. The 59 has the outer headlights mounted higher than the inner ones. The 60 has all 4 headlights mounted at the same height. The 59 has two large round gauge/selector pods mounted under a black-dial speedometer. The 60 uses a white-dial speedometer which is viewed through a tilting mirror.
Also you can have a look at both years on this site by going to the home page. Then click on the model years along the left edge.
The flat side window glass should not be that hard to have cut at a glass shop.
Hope you can latch on to it. Good Luck!
