Irecently purchased an 87 regal t type but according to all paper work and build sheet it is a non turbo car fac equiped w/ a 5.0 l chevy tbi is this a fluke or a rare car ? Ialso bought an 85 t type turbo car less eng or trans but otherwise complete both cars look identical other than color front air dam and hood. I also inhearated a 65 sky lark with a nail head motor all three are for sale cheap any help on any one or all three cars would be verry helpful thanks maxmax67

Max, in 87 the 'T' package was available on any Regal, and was not tied any specific engine type. In 85 the Regal T-type came with the V6 Turbo and its own VIN series.

There was a 5.0 L (307) 4bbl V8 Olds engine available on the Regal models in 87. VIN code letter is a Y in the 8th position.

The 5.0 L (305) 4bbl V8 Chevy engine was only available on Canadian or other export models. VIN engine code of H applies on these. As to how it came equipped with a TBI remains a puzzle.
