TODD 04-11-2002, 03:25 PM The 225 refers to overall length of the car in inches. Some years it was a little more than 225, other years a bit less. In the first 3 seasons (1959, 60, 61) there were Electra models and Electra 225 models. The 225's had a body which was longer than the regualr Electra series. Not all body styles were available in both series.
