My aunt has a GS 455 gathering dust in her garage (thrown rod). I need your help figuring out the data plate:
=============================
ST 70-44637 BF00620 BDY
TR 179 B80 68 F PNT
03A 359830 220590
=============================
Thanks in advance for the knowledge.
Here's almost all of the codes on the plate:
ST= style
70= model year, 1970
44637= GS455 sport coupe
BF= body plant, Fremont, Calif.
00620= body serial no.
BDY= body
TR= Trim
179= vinyl notchback seat, burnished saddle color
B80= modular seat code - can't id
68= lower body color, burnished saddle iridescent paint
F= upper color, dark brown vinyl top
PNT= paint
03A= time built, 03-March, A-1st week of the month
359830= unknown
220590= unknown
Here are some other sites on the 70 GS: http://members.home.net/mconigliari/ http://www.hu.mtu.edu/~ddcronkh/1970.html
We would love to hear reports of this one getting back into running condition.

Thanks TODD! B80 has got to be bench seat because that's what she has. Complete with column shifter! I'll keep you posted as I find out more.
