Can anyone give me any info for the body tag for a Canadian built suncoupe. Upper and lower body paint# is 53 TR# is 138 I also hve two other numbers which look to be A65 and 02A. Any info would be appreciated

Dave, the plate layout on the Canadian cars is different from US models, but the codes appear to mean the same thing.

Paint 53= Cortez Gold Iridescent
Trim 138= Black vinyl
A65= one of the options (sorry, can't decode)
02A= time built- 02=February, A=first week of the month

your best bet is to contact GM Canada at 1 888 467 6853 if it was sold to be imported to Canada theywill make a info package from your vin # it was $30.00 ten years ago?
Canada had a lot better records than U.S. for old cars
there where 5466 cars with model # 43337 witch is 2 dr sport coupe sold in Canada this does not tell how many where sun coupes

now the roof was five colors
WG5 white sun roof (mine 1 of 49 sold in Canada)

the Y59 option could only be ordered with Y57 option whitch was skylark "350" package and skylark "350" package was only avalable on 43337 or 43369 platform 2dr hardtop or 4dr pillar sedan so as for "GS" or 455 sun coupes produced my paper work indicates that this is not so
