Hello.
I recently have acquired a 58 Buick Century.(made in Canada)
In my opinion, because of its age, the pigment in the paint has deteriorated to a brown color.
I am sure that when I was kid who always washed this car in the late 50's and early 60's, that the color was extremely similar to M-Tawny Rose Poly Metallic or N-Lido Lavender Poly Metallic. Has a white roof.
The specefied paint code on the fire-wall i.d. plate shows; Paint - 4229, styl - 4639, trim - 984. vehicle registration indicates the color as Maroon.
However my question is this: Just what color is it really supposed to be ?? ( according to your paint chart )
Paint suppliers here cannot find this particular paint code. they have from # 2000 - 3018 for 1958.
Could you please help me out, do you know where I could find more information regarding this.
Thank you.
Sincerely
O. V.
