I've got a 1949, 320cu.in. straight 8 motor which had a Dynaflow automatic trans. originally in the car. It's going into a different frame, and I'd like to set it up with a 4 or 5 speed manual tranny. Has anyone done this before or have any tips?

I'm working on something similar. I am still in the collecting stage. But, I got hold of Tachny in the midwest and ordered a manual bell housing. You might also be able to get one from someone on the list.
