I have a 87 Lesabre Custom, w/ 231 V6. I really like the car, and would like to keep it running and increase preformance. However, I'm pretty sure that the 231 I have is about all that the transmission can handle. The car is front wheel drive, which I know poses a big problem with large engines. Any suggestions on how to get around this problem?

the newew transaxles are built a little stronger,but are electronicly controled. transplant a whole supercharged 3800 powertrain into it ------------------
