I have a '92 Roadmaster with just 62k miles. The tranny has begun to stutter in overdrive on any small incline on the freeway. I can't tell if it is slipping or just having trouble trying to shift down. As a result I try to be careful if in overdrive, but I want to make sure this isn't a sign of a failing tranny. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Just went through the exact same thing with my '96 Suburban! After lots of expensive troubleshooting at the dealer, discovered that the problem was a bad ground between the body and the engine not allowing the computer to run the Torque Converter Clutch correctly. Ran a 10 guage wire between the firewall and the engine and the problem went away. Total cost $2.71 for the wire and two lugs. Try this first.
