hi guys,
i need your assistance. i need to know what the (motor) or (mitchel) flat rate time is for replace camshaft and valve grind. on a 1965 skylark GS with A/C. i just installed a perf. cam and headers and had to rebuild the heads and modify the valve guides for guide to retainer clearence. and i need some kind of official starting point for the labor charges
this guy is like that wants a detailed bill. Any help will be appreciated thanks in advance

Sean, the 65 and 70 MOTOR's Flat RAte manuals don't show times for the 65 400 engine, I guess since it was a mid-year introduction.

The times given for the 66 400 are shown and are higher than the 300/340 times. Official times from the 66 Buick Flat Rate Manual are shown in ().

Camshaft Remove & Replace (4.9) 6.8
add for a/c (0.5) 0.5
add for pwr steering (0.2) 0.2

includes R&R driving & driven pullies, harmonic balancer, crankshaft oil seal, fuel pump, water manifold, timing chain & gears

Valve grind (8.0) 10.8
add for a/c (0.8) 0.8
add for pwr steering (0.3) 0.3
valve guide R&R - each (0.1) 0.3

includes R&R intake manifold, rocker arm covers & gaskets, rocker arm assys., water manifold, cyl head assys.
