Hello,
I am getting ready to reseal and repaint the 401 for my 63 Riv. What are some sources for Buick green engine paint (besides YEAR ONE). As for gaskets, should I just get them at my local parts store, or are there some cheaper sources.
Thanks,
Michael S.
I have used "Bill Hershe Miricale Paint". It's not bad, but after useing POR 15 products other places the next time I paint an engine, I'm going to try that. Both sources are in the Website Database.

POR15 is the way to go.Even brushed on it looks great and lasts.

I've ordered from Classic Buicks www.classicbuicks.com (http://www.classicbuicks.com) They have both spray cans and regular. It turned out pretty nice on my nailhead. They also have some parts and accesories available.

I usually purchase specialty paint from Eastwood Company www.eastwoodco.com (http://www.eastwoodco.com)
Their a little pricey (overpriced on some items) but I only need to look in one place. They've got a lot of strange little specialy tools too, if you're into bodywork. Their catalogs are free and the email a monthly discount if you sign up for their email newsletter.
I tried their Corroless Paint on my Model A chassis instead of POR-15. It was cheaper, and I really like it. My dad uses POR-15 but says he'll use Eastwood's Corroless next time.
A good place for NOS stuff like gaskets etc. is buickfarm.com
