Can you put a 4bbl elderbrock carb on a 401 nailhead,without making any changes to the intake ? If so does anyone know the right model.My car is a 65 wildcat.Thanks.Roger

I put a 9000 series carter on my 401 a while back. It was #9635. I am pretty sure thay are identical and it bolted straight on (needed to plumb in the electric choke). I had some engine problems and swapped out the carb for an original old stock carb.

I would be very interested in how it runs if you buy one.

i put a new carb on the 401 and it runs great (just had to re jet it came with too small of prim jets) new edelbrock carb
