Hello!!
Do anyone know how 1965 special convertible trunk side panels should be. I got one but in the trunk there is no panels, only the trunkmat and i would be glad to know how to do to have it like it has been from new.
Thanks a lot!!
Pictures would be great to get...

The Special probably didn't have the cardboard panels in the trunk. I'm working on a 65 Wildcat and have reservations about whether the "Deluxe" model had this feature. Good topic, I'm interested in any further info on the Special line.

Thanks a lot. It seems to be as i been thinking. Do you know, are Special Convertible Coupe V8 an unusually model or it is an model that not interesting people to restore. Ok, -65 special is not so special model but cabs are not produced so many.
Thanks again

Right, unusual to see any of the Specials of 1965 restored, but that makes it cool in my book! I have a little question though. Is the frame of the Special convertible boxed like the Skylark and GS? My 65 Special Wagon is not boxed, but the Sport Wagons are...(they are longer wheelbase as well). Thanks, and Cheers, Ted

the special did not have any cardboard side panels.
in fact none of the special, special delux, or skylark (including) GS had any side panels. they only had a trunk mat that went from the taillights to the back seat. My GS conv. has a foam rubber backed, tan fiber mat.

hope this helps

Al

Hello Ted
I dont really understand your question. Could you tell me moore? Do you know where to find some information of earlier owners, i mean owners in USA. My car is imported 1996, by someone in Sweden. I bought it last year, and i liked to know who had owned it in us.

Does anyone know if 1965 Buick Wildcat convertibles came with trunk cardboards for the inside of the quarter panels and if so, where can I find them?
