is there anybody, who can recommend a rechroming-shop that does good work on pot-metal ?
I understand that there are lots of them out there, promising superb quality but that you can find the good ones only by having someone's recommendation...

As it happens I have some experience with plating pot metal.
If it is to be done properly then one must sand/polish it down to a smooth surface and then plate it with nickle prior to chroming it.
