I have a 52 Buick Super . What I would like to know is , how important is it to keep the same block for the motor and the same paint . Would the value of the car be less if I Changed them. I am also locking for some parts for the convettable top that are missing
Thanks for any help

What do you mean "change"?
depends on how much you change.

I want to keep the car arignal as possible but I dont like the colour of the inteirer and extierer what happens if I change them.
The block is siezed so if I change it the numbers will not be the same , will this matter to the value of the car when its done.

I personally don't think a thing about these things, I look at the overall condition of the car. BUT, not all think about it that way. I would think the big difference would be the rarity of the car, if it were a '53 Skylark Conv. I would stay with all the correct Buick issue, if it were a '55 four door sedan, I would do as I wish because the value is lower for the car no matter what.

Paint the car the colour you like! It's just not that important unless you are building to the top 1/4 of 1% and then you could never drive it! The motor, if it is rebuildable, why not use the original block, but if it's not then you have no choice! If you don't have an original block anybody who would buy the car won't care about the colors. You should do it for you!
