I have a 67 Buick Skylark GS with as soft frame. I have found frames from a 67 Skylark that I am told will not fit under my car. Can anyone out there tell me why the same bodys do not show the same frames? What is the difference in the chassis?

The convertible and the GS had a boxed frame. It was the same Skylark frame, but the middle was finished out in a box rather than just the C channel. The convertibles had less structural integrity and the big block had more twisting force. The box gave the frame a little more strength and resisted twisting. The GS body will fit on that frame, but you will have to use the trans crossmember from the Skylark.
