I would like to know if changing the exterior color of my 64 riv. will affect the value of the vehicle?

Value to whom? Depends if a potential buyer cares if it has the original paint/color. If you're not intending to sell it, paint it whatever color YOU like.

Yeah, it's what you like that counts in the end. But, you will do better when it comes time to sell if you at least paint it an authentic color for that particular year and model of car. My '70 Riv is currently a cream color, but I'm planning on painting it with a gold that was available on the Riviera in 1970.

if u are going to change the colour be sure
that it is a correct colour for the year of your vehicle and also that the new colour is
compatible with your interior colour .
certain interior colours were only available for certain exterior colours .
