so i hav this 55 special that has a pretty rustey floorpan. the thing is beyond repair and i dont have the money or welding skills to put in a new one. this isent a car that i am too interesten in restoring to its original glory. i just want to be able to drive it around cause it looks cool and i like it. its a slammed 4 door with flat black paint and huge flames. i just want the floorpan to be waterproof. my friend works at a place where i can get as much resin and fiberglass cloth as i want. i was wondering if fiberglassing the floor would be too much of a fire hazard. i would put a few layers of insulation and carpet over it too. so any advice or precautions would be appreciated.(i will probibly do it anyway and keep a fire extinguisher in the car)

A Corvette has glass floors, the only fires they have are under the hood! This would be a fine way to save your floof.
