Sometimes my car doesn't start. I open the hood, tighten the terminal nuts, and strangely enough I turn the key and the car starts. The battery seems strong. The car even stalled when I was on the highway doing 55 mph. The power went out and the digital clock reset. I went over to the shoulder turned the key and the car started without doing anything. Does anybody have an idea what this could be? Thanks.

this could be problem with your crank sensor. what, if any codes have been set?

sounds like an electrical prob. to me. have your battery tested, and if there is any corrosion around the termonals, get it cleaned off. sounds like when it died on the highway, the battery lost connection and the alt. ouldnt keep up and the ignition died. may be wrong, but could be.
