Why not drop an Olds V-8 into it ?
I dropped a 350 Buick into my 1976 Skyhawk.
Try this web page ( v8monza.com ).There is a post of " pictures of the Kansas City gathering in the V8 Monza Talk section that show a nice photo of my sweet 350 nested comfortably in the old Skyhawk. ( David Buick would be SO proud !! ) This site is the gateway to the most info you'll find anywhere about these H-body vehicles. Plus, there are sources for parts, galore.
I engineered a way to install S-10 brakes on the fronts. And, early model S-10 axles bolt in w/ only a simple modification. Now you have 5 lugs all around. This parts kit is available for about $66.00 from Bob Gumm,
the webmaster.

Shoprat I did enjoy it exept on a few occasions I wanted to torch the thing!!! http://www.buicks.net/forum/biggrin.gif
Skyhawk: I would love to put a Olds V8 in it, if I only could find an Olds V8 in this part of the woods!!!
I'm gona check that adress for sure on the 5 lug conversion! that 4 lug does not allow a big choice in aftermarket wheels!
that would let me put some nice wheels on THANKS for the tip!!!!!
