I am trying to find the switch for the trunk light on my '63 Riv. Does anyone know where they would put it, or even what technology (mechanical/mercury) it is? My light stays on while the lid is closed, and I would like to fix it. Thanks!

Mine is a mercury switch. Make sure it's at the proper angle, may just be an adjustment problem with the current one. Try actually getting in the trunk (with a trusted friend to let you out) and see if an adjustment works. If not get a new socket & repeat the above steps.

Thanks mark6. I did find out yesterday that the item I thought was a broken fuse in the light base was actually the tilt switch. I am working on analyzing it to find out if the switch still works. While at a cruise yesterday, I noticed that a Reatta also had the same/near exact light socket and switch, so I may be able to use parts from that era to fix.
