I own a 1996 buick regal with 215,000 kms. Car stalls after approximately 10 minutes of driving, more prevelent in the warmer months. Sometimes car will restart immediately and other times 10 to 15 minutes later. Had it to a mechanic and nothing showed up on there scopes and of course did not stall while there. Everyone I speak with think its a crankshaft sensor. Any ideas out there?
Please help.

I know when I replaced my MAF (mass airflow sensor) it definetly helped. The problem didn't entirely go away but enough that once a week isn't gonna kill me. Start knocking around with a screwdriver and see if the engine dies out on anything you tap on. I did this and that is how I found the MAF to be bad.

pullin this one out of the air....
Cadilitic converter ?? 10 min to heat up and expand the clog in it /could also make it bogg down if not immidiately shutting off.

Would that also make the car stall out while driving? I'm still trying to figure out my issue that I posted. If you removed the catalittic converter, what are the pros and cons?

To test for clogged cat. converter you can remove the O2 sensor that is ahead of the converter and install a pressure gauge to test for excessive backpressure . Doing this is easier that removing the converter and keeps you from replacing a good part and saves $$$.
