I have a`37 320ci model 90 limousine, and the problem i have is an intermittent stalling, generally when slowing down for a junction and getting close to walking speed the engine may cut out, other times it doesn`t,there doen`t seem to be a pattern to it.The carburetter has been rebuilt,as has the fuel pump and distributor. The running seemed to improve when i fitted Pertronix Ignitor, but every now and again it still cuts out.The car starts first time, every time (even after a three month lay-up).
A friend of mine who runs a`36 and `37 for the past 25 years with his wedding car business, has had a look and is baffled as to what the problem could be,we changed plugs, leads, cap and replaced the pionts/condenser,but no matter what we tried the problem remained.Anyone got any ideas?
