Any one had any experience or know if there are kits, etc available to modernize and improve the upfront handling and brakes of a '37 Buick other than sub-framing? Anything for rear stabilization? Want to maintain a mostly stock appearance. Would not mind minimal lowering-nothing radical.

first thing quik and easy mods. Get suspension inspection and steering adjustment. Install front disc brakes [first and foremost], they will be a BIG improvement, and a MUST for todays traffic. kits are available, rear brakes are ok, just reline, and new brake cylinders. Radial tires next, mild lowering by cutting spring coils in front, [half coil each], lowering blocks in back. good gas shocks all the way around, [needs to be adapted] then front end alignment. This is what i would do,it will get you down and lookin good.. 'Search' in this site for more info on handling mods for older Buicks. The 37 has basically the same suspension that Buick,s had all the way to 1959, and they are good strong units.
