Not a big thing just thought I would add something. Like the title says I lowered my 38 Buick. I noticed the housing didn't set square in the frame side to side. I found a adjustable panhard bar with urethane bushings for a 58-64 Chevy bolt's right in. Then put shocks off a Jeep wagoner, had to open up the bushings for the shocks.

That's a good tip on the panhard bar. Whats the minimum and maximum length when it's adjusted all the way in and out?
I found them on Hotchkis.net and they have greasable bushings. There site says suggested max center-center but it has more threads for both ways.
31 - 32 for the 58 - 64 Chevy stock is 31 - 1/2
32 - 33 for the 65 -70 Chevy stock is 32 - 1/2

How about some pictures of your new lower stance.
These are the best I got for now. These are with the stock 16" wheels, I have put 15" on it dropped it down 2 inches more. Was thinking about dropped spindles, but who knows if I will or not.

Sweet lookin' chariot spud! What's she got for a mill? (Please, please, please be 8 in a row.) I'll forgive ya if it ain't. Thanks for the info on the panhard rod.
BigRivy thanks it has a straight eight and the last year for the three speed on the floor. Would like to find a dual carb set up for it.

Bob I guess I type how I think. I'm thinking about dropped spindles who knows " if I will or not." Get it out on the road first, let the springs set and see where its at first.

That is going to be one sweet ride! I think the stance looks just right as it is dropped just enough to let the tires fill the fender wells. It looked too high before.

I an guessing you would be better with dropped spindles and standard ride height position for the front suspension to keep the front shockers in the correct position.

going the right way with it, dropped spindles are good, and mebbe cut a coil, bigger sway bar, also add some tube shocks to the front dont need to remove the stock armshocks. Go open drive, 4speed, wide ratio trans, and Taller rear gears. Get a 263. bore out, mill the head, a little porting and it will be a sweet ride. And you wont find another like it at the cruise.
