I have a 1969 skylark custom coupe that was missing some of the exterior badging when i got it, and the last owner didn't have it either. The problem I'm having is some of the badging on the trunk. I know on the passenger side of the trunk are badges that say skylark and custom right below it. On the driver's side of the trunk lid is two holes where there is supposed to be another badge, but all the pictures of 69 lark customs I've found, none have had a picture of the trunk with a badge on that side of the trunk.

I was wondering if one of you guys may know what belongs there. I'm trying to return it back to original condition.

p.s. It's got the 350 2 barrel carb setup on it if it makes a difference.

thx

Could this have been a 'Dealer' nameplate ?
In the 50's and 60's dealer nameplates were chromed diecast potmetal emblems that were mounted with metal studs that required holes to be drilled in new cars. They were replaced with self-adhesive stick on emblems that can easily be removed for todays newer vehicles.

that's a very good possibility. One that I never even thought of given my age and all. I never knew about the metal dealer plagues. that would explain why i can't find any replacement badges or reference photos with anything there. thanks a bunch.
