I was hoping that you guys could help me learn as much about my 55 Special as possible. The ID# is 4B1114080. The ID on the motor is 1166349-14. I know it is a V8 Nailhead but which one???

If it is the original engine it will be a "264" with a 2bbl. carb. For more performance you can install a 4bbl. from a "322". For more performance you can put on an adapter plate & use an "AFB" 4 bbl. from '57-'60 to keep the pedal start feature.
