I need a new rear drum for my 55 so I go to my kanter catolog and order it online 3 weeks ago. After numerous emails and phone calls they finally think they have the right one and send it out. 137 and weeks later I rush home to open it and install the thing so I can get the Buick back on all fours and the drum is too deep. They seem to know zip about the drums on the 55. I'm sending it back with no recommendations for the marx brothers that run that place. I'll be lucky to get the full amount back not including the extra shipping refunded. Is there anyone who has a contact for 55 rear brake drums?? Was there numerous sizes for the 55 special rear brakes or am I just dealing with the wrong vendor? Why should a brake drum be such a huge deal? The car is a paperweight taking up space right now.:clonk: Go Buick , somewhere Please!!!

Ok , Kanter got back to me this morning and said they had a problem with their internet site and the rear drum reflected the front drum pricing so they did not pay attention to anything else that we emailed or spoke about and sent the part with the coresponding price. They are sending out the right part(fingers crossed) and a return tag for the wrong part.

i know one thing. Good Drums are hard to find.
Kanter has someone make them . Often you have to wait for a batch to come in. I know guys who have waited 6 months for their drums.
I haven't had to deal with Kanter yet, but they are the only vendors I know who carry them.
