Hey jsut a couple of quick questions. (and I'm sure I'll have more)
I aquired a 55 buick 2dr hardtop with a 322 and automatic tranny.
No matter what I do the tranny always seems to be over full, I was told to fill it about 1 in below the full mark and when the motor is hot and running it should show full.(it doesn"t) Does anyone know about where it should be on the stick when the motor is cold?

Also I had to install all the glass. I got the side glass all in but they don't seem to match up very well with the windows up and the doors closed. Is there any easy way to adjust the windows?
Thanks for any and all help!

The oil should be warm when checked. The transmission should be in park, and the engine idleing. While the manuals don't say to, I would cycle the trans through R, L, H, then place the transmission in park and check the oil. Full is full, 1" below the full mark requires about a quart to bring it up. Do not overfill.
