I am planning on using a flywheel for a 1998 Firebird (3800 engine) on an 80's FWD Buick V6. I don't know yet if it will be a 3.0, 3.3, or 3.8.
Does anyone know if there are significant differences in the balance of the newer 3800 and older "metric" Buick V6 engines?
I'm not too concerned; if it's too different I will take the crank, balancer and flywheel in and have them machined. I just would rather do that BEFORE I install the engine!
It would seem to me that I should be okay, but you never know.
Thanks for the help guys!
