Hello.
I am a new member and say hello to everyone from
little Belgium (Europe).

I had two Buick in the past, a 1955 super hardtop 2door,
and a 1955 century convertible.
I rstored the two cars, and had no problems rebuilding
the engines (322 ci). I don't have these cars anymore.

For the moment I'm rebuilding a 1959 364 ci.
I have a little question : in the 322 ci, the camshaft is
hold in place with a thrust plate hold in place with 3 bolts.
In the 364 ci, there is no thrust plate, no bolts and no holes
for these bolts in the engine. The camshaft is moving longitudinaly
(from front to the rear of the bloc) aprox 1/4 inches.
When moving, it makes the rotor delco turn.
When I turn the engine with my hands counterclockwise, the
camshaft moves to the front , when I turn clockwise it moves to the
back then stops moving and then the rotor (delco) turns.
Is there nothing to hold the camshaft in place in these engines ?
I don't have any books, shopmanual, so I don't have any pictures
to see if there is any parts missing.

Thanks.
