Just wondering if anyone has a guesstimate of what I should expect to see with this vehicle at the track. Track is 1000 ft elevation.

Here is the car...

70 Buick GS 455 with AC, bench seat, etc.....bone stock with a 3.73 posi rear, hotchkis rear springs and control arms. 28 inch slick might be run.

I had a 69 El Camino that the rear suspension came from, so other than that it is totally stock....not even an air filter.

Any thoughts?

Just finished swapping in the rear end with 3.73 posi. Hopefully I will get to the track in about a month when it starts cooling down a little.

On a perfect run you might see a 13.99. The 3.73 gear should help you. The posi and slicks are a must to get that thing moving! :shifter:

If you can swing it put in 15 percent biodiesel to your tank size. It changes the characteristics of the fuel and runs like the ol 102 octane of the 60-70s. I run it in mine as im making it for my truck.

100LL AvGas ( 'Low Lead' Aviation Gas ) is also an excellent alternative to straight up race fuels.

you can use this web site to locate an FBO and get price quotes:
