Hey tom! This is ur grandson ( i think ur old enough lol jk) kc, anyways that is for a 54 buick. All series. It can be installed in ur 56 with enough fabrication. I have one i bought for my 55 buick. But after i recieved it i realized that the grille was shaped in a way that i coudlnt get it behind the HUGE bullet bumpers. I love that grille tho, it is currently being used at my place as a device to keep my baby kitty out of my fireplace. Belive it or not alot of people like it for that reason lol.. especially my chicks mom. Anyways i paid like 60 bucks for it. It has all clamps, screws and is able to be rechromed.. i love the grille, ive seen one in 60's cougar before . anyways kc

Love that "Toothy Look"
I imagine it will require a lot of mods to make it fit.
The current mesh grille is kind of a backdrop to the massive front bumper.
The toothy grille will have to be brought forward and threw the opening.
Don't know if it will fit through.
Probably have to get a '54 bumper to make things look and work right.
As of now the auction price is right.
There is some time left to make a decision.
The grille is a pretty nice piece and is complete and intact, some of the usual pitting and will need some re-chroming as some point.
Just wish I had the time to fool around with it.
Right now Im fighting time and energy to get my car on the road this season. Making progress though!
Hey KMC Your really having some fun busting my chops. Sorry to disapoint you but I'm just old enough to be your dad. Too bad I already did my taxes, otherwise I could have claimed you as a dependent and put some coin in my pocket:D
Hey Al (4speed) have you any experience with this sort of customizing?
Thanks for the input guys

U know tom, i could be having the worse day in my life, but when i come here and see u ,, it makes me smile so big. Seriously, i never had a grand parents.. my dads parents live in india and i seen them once back in 1986. And my moms side, her dad died when she was 2, and her mom died back in 92 when i was 12. They where both immagrants, my mom told me they where very rich and known family in tehran, iran back in the good days, her mom sold everything and came to america to put all her kids in college. She died so poor. My mom always tells me that they had a 3 story house and 5 50's mercedes.. anyways i love older people and respect them to the fullest, anyways. it makes me so happy to talk to older people because honestly these days us younger people have no respect or care for people who paved the way for us. I love my car just for that reason its a ice breaker and u hear all these old stories of there dads, dads buicks. kc

The old stories are great in that they capture part of history that isn't written down, or in books or on the web, but only passed down by word of mouth from friends or family just like our little group here.
Over time we communicate with each other and establish and build relationships based on trust and friendship and the sharing of a common bond

I looked at the pictures of the '54 grill for sale on EBAY and I wouldn't give more than $20 for it. It's full of pits and would cost lots of money to fill all of those pits and then replate it.

Thanks for the advise!
The bid has escalated beyond my intentions (customizing)
Someone needs one real bad at $185.00.
It is complete and in one price which is unusual. No dental work required.
Thanks for the concern and support!

Apparently another has popped up:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1954-Buick-grille-custom-lead-sled-rat-rod_W0QQitemZ8057736807QQcategoryZ33645QQssPageNam eZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Not as nice as the one you have pointed out.
I still don't know how much WORK will be required to get it of fit in a '56
I would have to be careful. Brute Strenght and Ignorance will snap those chromed potmetal Choppers which gives the car that underbite bulldog appearance and stance.
It makes for quite and impression, statment and attitude at first glance.
Ready to gobble up anything in it's path

I have one for 60 bucks. And that includes shipping. Shes waiting for one day when i have time to sell things on ebay. I got about 300 dollars worth of ebay stuff i can sell. And 300 bucks is actually really under estimating how much i could get for all this junk.. i need a credit card tho , fuckin pain in the bum bum. kc
